Todd Levine

A holistic “protection first” approach to securing your financial future

You don’t survive on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange without passion — and purpose. Pursuing his love of all things finance, Todd Levine began his professional career in the NYSE trenches for industry leaders like Helfant Group, Jefferies & Co, and Bloomberg Tradebook. The Brooklyn native rose quickly through the trading ranks, holding various leadership roles including equities trader and execution sales trader.

But they were all missing one critical element — seeing firsthand how his work was making a difference in someone’s life. So Todd left Wall Street to follow his passion, and was recruited to join Northeast Planning Corporation (NEPC) in 2008. He found the company’s holistic approach to financial guidance intriguing — and the ideal fit with his own professional philosophy.

“Too often, we see people focusing solely on the rate of return instead of a bigger-picture plan,” Todd explains. “My approach is to anticipate and plan for obstacles, giving you a solid process for achieving your goals regardless of circumstance. Once that process is in place, you’re well on your way to achieving your goals.”

Last year, Todd was named to both the Guardian Leaders Club and the NEPC Leaders Club for his achievements. He is also among a select group of NEPC senior members chosen to mentor junior planners.

Todd resides in northern NJ with his wife Maria and two young children. He enjoys traveling with his family and serving as a member of UNICO, the Italian-American service organization. He jokes that he’s the first Jewish financial planner in the organization’s Cedar Grove chapter, thanks to his wife who is of Sicilian descent.

An avid reader, Todd stays abreast of the latest news and market trends to share with clients. Among his diverse client roster are families of all ages, small business owners and physicians. He also helps newly single individuals struggling to rebalance their asset allocation in the wake of a divorce.

Clients and colleagues alike point to Todd’s passion for finance and commitment to personal and professional development as the keys to his success. “My job is to help people step back and view the big picture — what they want life to look like, what they need to do to get there, and how they can protect their family in the process. That, for me, is success.”
